Inigral Headed to Atlanta to Present at Noel Levitz’ NCSRMR 2010
In less than a week, Inigral will be presenting at Noel Levitz’ 2010 National Conference on Student Recruitment, Marketing and Retention. This is an opportunity for the public to hear about the results of Inigral’s partnership with Arizona State University, and their experience with Schools on Facebook launched on their campus.
Hear from Arizona State team members Emily Dalton Smith (Director, ASU Online), and Lisa McIntyre (Program Manager, Office of the Vice Provost) on how the Facebook application played an integral part in their strategy to engage current students across multiple campuses.
Our marketing team was able to get some time with Emily Dalton Smith before the presentation began to get her thoughts on what she hopes audience members would get out of attending. Her role is the Director of Student Services & Engagement for ASU Online. It’s her job to make sure their students get the support they need to come, stay, and graduate from ASU, and that they have an excellent experience while doing it. She was formerly the Special Assistant/Director of Communications in the Provost’s Office.
During the presentation, Emily will be discussing the student experience in the digital age. Her perspective is that a lot of student retention is about creating an environment that facilitates building social networks, whether they’re academic/professional social networks, or personal ones. A lot of the tools and strategies for doing this are the same, whether students are on ground, face-to-face, or both (as students increasingly are).
She hopes that attendees can get ideas and inspiration about how they can leverage these trends on their campuses.
