Inigral Speaks at Facebook HQ

Last week, we were invited to Facebook’s headquarters in Palo Alto, CA to present on how we’re changing the way higher education uses social media. It was very informative both for us to hear from the creators of Facebook’s platform on how Schools on Facebook was the type of application they envisioned being used when it was first built. It was also our first time at their new offices, so the campus tour was a treat as well.

The presentation lasted about fifteen minutes. Our CEO Michael Staton, along with Joseph Sofaer (Co-Founder), George Deglin (Co-Founder), and Nick Punt (VP, Products), each spent time sharing with the audience how the various sections of our company could use their help to better serve our clients. After the presentation, a Q&A session took place where Facebook’s Platform team spent time getting clarification on our features, our target audience, and other info.
The most informative part of the meeting was after lunch, when we had a chance to meet with Facebook’s CEO Mark Zuckerberg. One of his main questions for us was, “What can Facebook do to help Inigral succeed?” George spoke on our behalf asking for a better feedback loop with Facebook’s platform team and developers like us. Based on the overall conversation, I have a good feeling that our feedback won’t fall on deaf ears.
As a result, we’re expecting a great 2009-10 school year, along with more recognition for the work we’re doing to change the Higher Ed social media market. Much thanks to our friends at Facebook for getting this setup. Feel free to check out pictures from our visit here.
Thanks for the webinar today. Will you share a list of reference clients with us? Also, where can we ask questions about back-end infrastructure...
